Unfortunately, as you may have guessed as there are no DVD copies of the film populating bargain bins around the country, the film was never made. The rights reverted back to me and the character lay dormant, save for in my imagination.
Years later, upon looking for something new to write, I decided that it was a shame to let such an interesting character and story go to waste, and what better way to really get into something than to write a novel.
And that's just what I did. For me, it was the most fun I've ever had writing anything, which is saying something, as I do love my job immensely. I found I got to explore the origins of Pear Danube, expand on his vivid history, and research 17th century England to my heart's content. Best of all, I could be as ridiculous as I wanted to be.
Now, after some time spent in school, and then graduating wondering what I was supposed to do now, I finally just put the first book in print (print being more digital than inkish at the moment) and it is available for the Kindle through Amazon.com. For the scant price of $3.99 you may read the fruit of my labor (pun included). Just follow the link...
If you don't happen to own a Kindle, you can download Kindle for PC or for Mac and read it on your computer. Or download Kindle for iPad.
In other news...
In less than one week, I will begin shooting my webseries "Cruel and Unusual." I have an excellent production team, an amazing cast, and a solid first episode.
Hopefully word of mouth will carry both these projects to some place nice.
